The Consumer Association tested ten meat replacing sandwich fillers, including Vivera Filet Américain. The test panel measured the quantities of saturated fats, trans-fats and salt and studied the labels.
Vivera Filet Américain topped the list with a score of 9.2 out of 10. Vivera's vegetarian was completely re-formulated late last year, considerably enhancing the taste and bite. The improved soy-based variation is very difficult to discern from the meat version. The excellent performance in the Consumer Association's test confirms the success of this improvement. The April/May 2010 edition of Gezondgids (Health Guide) features the publication on meat replacement sandwich fillers.
