Sustainable

Enkco has traditionally shown a high degree of corporate social responsibility. This was the case 50 years ago, when complete families relied on Enkco for their income. And that is still the way it is: Enkco is considered a very good employer in our day. The fact that many employees have worked here for decades speaks volumes.

The environment
Enkco continues its good traditions in respect of sustainability and environmental awareness. Our new plant in Holten is a good example. It was based on the latest insights relating to the environmental footprint and labour conditions. We recently managed to reduce our Co2-emissions by over 900 tons by transferring our organic residues from the production process to the Veluwe Water Board's new fermenting plant in Apeldoorn. In future, Enkco will also package its vegetarian Vivera products in a new, more degradable packaging and the labels will be printed on special, FSC certified cardboard.
